Dr. Joe Prasifka graduated from dental school in 1974 and opened up a private practice in Whanton, TX. This was his hometown with a population of 10,000. After practicing there for 30 years, he sold his practice and retired for a year.

He later found that he missed providing the dentistry he had dedicated most of his life to. He missed helping people, and working with the staff to provide better health and self-esteem to his patients. He later came out of retirement and joined a team of Houston dentists part-time, offering his experienced services and helping patients again.

He started his accreditation with LVI (Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies) in 1999, and completed multiple courses. Dr. Prasifka immediately began practicing - and loving the results of this elite kind of dentistry that focuses on providing naturally beautiful smiles. With this cosmetic training and his high level of skill, he now offers Houston teeth whitening, dental implants, Invisalign, porcelain veneers, and other dental services; knowing they are completed with as much care, conservation, and attention to detail as possible for the most natural results.

Having restored almost all of his small town's smiles before offering his services as a Houston cosmetic dentist, he has enjoyed other interests as well. These include golf, traveling, radio, TV and print advertising, gardening, and supporting local museum and Cancer Society chapters. In addition to improving patients' self-esteem and health, he enjoys venturing to learn new things and new techniques.
